Norton Rose Hong Kong has expanded its banking practice with the relocation of London-based partner Davide Barzilai to its Hong Kong office.

Barzilai is a banking partner with expertise in Islamic and conventional shipping and asset finance, Islamic treasury management, Islamic project/property finance and structured trade finance.

He previously worked at Norton Rose (Asia) in its Singapore office from 2005 to 2007.

The firm's Hong Kong banking and finance team now comprises three partners and 13 fee earners.

"We have grown our banking and finance practice significantly in Hong Kong and Asia in the last 12 months," said head of banking in Asia, Peter Haslam. "The arrival of Davide further strengthens our banking group and will allow us to increase our offerings substantially and extend a fuller range of services to our clients across the region."
