Melbourne firm Hall & Wilcox has appointed senior lawyer Gavin Kotnik to its accident compensation litigation (ACL) team.

Kotnik joins Hall & Wilcox as a senior associate from Shine Lawyers where he was a partner managing the firm's Dandenong office. His career spans 13 years acting for injured workers as well as victims of asbestos disease.

His practice will focus on common law and statutory benefits claims brought pursuant to the Accident Compensation Act.

"Our ACL practice continues to grow and we are pleased to be able to have someone of Gavin's calibre and experience to join our team," said partner John Coldham.
