Former head of WorkSafe Victoria's Investigations and Prosecutions division, Stan Krpan, has joined the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Victoria as a consultant.

Krpan has been engaged to undertake a comprehensive and independent review of the EPA's approach to environmental regulation, compliance and enforcement, following critical reports by the Victorian Ombudsman and Auditor General.

In 11 years at WorkSafe, Krpan has been a key leader in OHS prosecutions and Victoria's legislative reform, including the successful national harmonisation of OHS laws.

Most recently, Krpan spent six months as the acting executive director of Victoria's health and safety regulator.
