DLA Piper has appointed Henry Koda and William Androlia to the firm's intellectual property and technology practice as senior counsel in Tokyo and Los Angeles respectively.
Koda and Androlia join the firm from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.
Koda, a Japanese authority on US patent law, opened Quinn Emmanuel's Tokyo office and is now manager of the Tokyo intellectual property group at DLA Piper.
His practice focuses on patent litigation/prosecution and includes all aspects of international trade practice and high technology patent practice, including US-Japan patent, trademark and copyright litigations/applications, search, infringement analyses and licensing.
Androlia practices in international trade and high technology, including US-Japan patent, trademark and copyright applications, searches, infringement analyses, licensing and litigation.
He will work with Koda to enhance and expand DLA Piper's Tokyo intellectual property group.
