Peter McMullin, a consultant to Cornwall Stodart Lawyers, has been elected as president of the Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI).

McMullin has been deputy president of VECCI since 2003 and is also a former mayor of Geelong and a former deputy lord mayor of Melbourne.

With 25 years' experience in the legal industry, McMullin has expertise in commercial and financial management and has also been engaged in various community and organisational leadership roles.

McMullin has also been elected to the board of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and will chair its employment, education and training committee.
