Michael Antrum and Theo Tsavdaridis have been appointed as magistrates of the local court by Attorney-General John Hatzistergos and will be sworn in on 17 January 2011.

Antrum was the general counsel for the NSW Police Force and has served on the NSW Law Society's government solicitors committee for the last two years. He was also the chair of the human rights committee.
Tsavdaridis has been a sole practitioner for the past 13 years, specialising in litigation, regulatory compliance, commercial and criminal law. He has been a member of the Law Society's professional conduct committee for two years as well as five years on the fidelity fund management committee.
