DLA Phillips Fox has this week announced a number of new appointments and promotions, including six new partners, two new special counsel and three new senior associates.
Those joining the firm as new partners include Bill Glover from Freehills, who will join the finance and projects practice group, and James Newnham from BDO, who will join the corporate tax practice.
Glover has been a partner at Freehills for the last 10 years and has expertise in the financing of energy and resources projects and infrastructure and utilities.
Newnham is a corporate tax specialist and was a partner at BDO for three years. He has nearly 13 years of experience consulting to Australian companies and foreign-owned corporations operating in Australia. Prior to BDO he worked at Minter Ellison and at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
The firm has also promoted four internal staff to the position of partner including Samantha Kelly, Gowri Kangeson and David Randazzo in the litigation and dispute resolution practice and Hugo Thistlewood in the finance and projects team.
Those promoted to the position of special counsel include Cynthia Sica and Kirin Mathews, while Michael Clarke, Lisa Ranford and Gavan Mackenzie join the firm as new senior associates.
