Queensland-based Macpherson+Kelley (M+K) has appointed former Herbert Geer senior associate Craig Roelofsz a principal in the corporate and commercial group.
Roelofsz brings ten years of legal experience to the role, having primarily advised clients in the energy and resources, agribusiness, property and commercial cleaning industries. He is the president of the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Africa Business Council
Roelofsz said his new position will assist in servicing the needs of businesses in the middle market, many of which are currently consolidating their business practices and assets.
"A law firm like M+K is well placed to assist these businesses in that it can bring a range of practice areas to bear for the client with a range of services to help with restructuring, streamlining employment structures, tackling taxation issues, assist with capital raisings and providing support in negotiations with the banks," he said.
Roelofsz's appointment takes the M+K corporate and commercial group to 20 lawyers including 10 principals nationally.
