Life sciences and pharmaceutical lawyer Amanda Turnill has left Clayton Utz to establish a practice at DLA Piper in Sydney.
Joining the firm's litigation and regulatory group today (1 June) as a partner, Turnill is in the process of establishing a team of lawyers to support her life sciences practice.
According to DLA Piper's Asia-Pacific managing director, Alastair Da Costa, the life sciences and health care sectors are key areas of focus for the firm in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
During a 20-year career, Turnill has handled a range of complex and high profile matters for Australian, British, American, Japanese and other international corporate clients and insurers.
Prior to joining Clayton Utz, she was a partner at Lovells (now Hogan Lovells) in London having practised there for more than a decade.
With extensive commercial litigation, dispute resolution and regulatory experience, Turnill specialises in pharmaceutical regulation, the defence of product liability claims and class actions, as well as advising on product risk, insurance and safety issues.
