Rigby Cooke Lawyers' has appointed former Corrs Chamber Westgarth partner Jeremy Johnson to its construction and major projects group.

Johnson formerly ran his own specialist building and construction practice in Victoria and brings over 20 years experience across commercial and construction law.

"Jeremy's experience negotiating and drafting Australian Standard and project specific contracts and in acting in disputes for principals, contractors and subcontractors in the construction and resources sectors increases the breadth of services we can now offer clients," said managing partner David Lawson.

At Corrs, Johnson specialised in conveyancing, building and construction law and buying and selling a home.

His experience includes commercial and strategic advice on contracts, negotiations and disputes for a multinational oil and gas company, drafting contracts for stage one of the NBN Broadband Network and advising on issues relating to the design and construction of various dams in Victoria.
