Minter Ellison has appointed a leading finance partner to its Melbourne practice.

Peter Kay specialises in acquisition and leveraged finance, construction finance, mezzanine lending and general corporate lending.

A partner with Herbert Geer for six years, Kay was also a senior associate with Mallesons Stephen Jaques and spent three years in London with international firms White & Case and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Melbourne Finance Group Head, David Eterovic, said Kay understood global financial markets and was known and well regarded by a number of Minters' key bank clients.
