Sydney-based firm Truman Hoyle has poached Gilbert + Tobin partner Richard Pascoe to head up its media and content practice.

A telecommunications and technology lawyer, Pascoe has almost two decades of experience in the information technology and telecommunications sector which, along with new media, represents the core focus of Truman Hoyle.

"Richard's expertise both in private practice and his experience as in-house counsel in the sector brings additional depth to our firm," said Truman Hoyle managing partner Shane Barber. "His regional experience in telecommunications, technology and new media is a particular asset as much of our work has an Asia-Pacific focus for global clients."
