Adelaide firm Finlaysons has appointed partner David Martin as its new chairman of partners and board chairman.
Having joined the firm in 2006, Martin will hold the position of chairman until the end of June 2013, replacing long-serving board member and retiring chair Steve Tarca.
A property, development law, major project and infrastructure specialist, Martin has acted in major projects including the $1.5 billion redevelopment of the harbour at Port Adelaide on behalf of Newport Quays and Mirvac's multi-million dollar developments in the Hindmarsh Valley.
The three remaining board positions are held by partners Mark Wood, Michael Barrett and Jeremy Schultz. Wood is a civil litigation specialist, while Barrett is a specialist in banking, finance and securities enforcement.
Schultz is a former member of the Takeovers Panel.
