Stachelek, who holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), has been admitted for four years and previously worked as a solicitor for WorkCover Queensland, assessing and managing common law workers' compensation claims.

She is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
