Clayton Utz has recruited Australian and New York-qualified capital markets lawyer Elissa Tobin as a senior associate.
Tobin joins Clayton Utz's national capital markets practice in Melbourne from US firm Sidley Austin in Sydney, where she has been an associate for the last two years.
At Sidley Austin, Tobin acted as US counsel to a number of large Australian and ASX-listed companies on both debt and equity capital markets transactions, including Rule 144A bond offerings, IPOs, placements and entitlement offerings.
Prior to her role at Sidley Austin in Sydney, Tobin was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York where she gained a wealth of corporate law experience.
Tobin will work with the leader of Clayton Utz's equity capital markets practice, Brendan Groves.
