King & Wood Mallesons and Allens worked on the initial public offering of a property portfolio that began trading on the ASX yesterday.

Firms: King & Wood Mallesons (GARDA Capital Limited); Allens Linklaters (Morgans)

Deal: The IPO and ASX listing of GARDA Diversified Property Fund, a division of GARDA Capital Limited.

Value: $97.2 million

Area: Private equity

Key players: The Brisbane-based KWM team was led by corporate M&A partners Stefan Luke (pictured) and Rhys Casey, who were supported by senior associate Prue Macleod and solicitors Mitch Fairbairn, Alexander Tod and Liz Ng.

Allens Linklaters acted for Morgans as the lead manager/underwriter.

Deal significance: With six commercial properties and one industrial property, the fund offers investors a diversified portfolio through tenant profile, geographic location and building type.
