The award recognises the firm’s pro bono legal assistance, volunteer and financial support for various Red Cross NT programs for young people.

More than 100 Clutz partners and staff have volunteered with the Red Cross NT’s Remote Community Holiday programs, which engage young Aboriginal people who live in remote communities in activities during school holidays.

The programs have run at Milikapiti, Pirilangimpi and Wurrumiyanga on the Tiwi Islands and Angurugu on Groote Eylandt.

The firm has also supported the programs with around $290,000 in grants.

This year, 10 Clutz volunteers will take part.

Clutz has been working with the NT arm of the Red Cross since 2001.

The firm was awarded the Northern Territory Law Society’s Ian Morris Community Contribution Award in 2010 for its pro bono and community work with the Australian Red Cross.
