ALTHOUGH IT doesn’t yet have a permanent chairperson, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has appointed Marcus Bezzi to head its newly established legal division.

Bezzi will join ACMA in early February from the Sydney office of the Australian Government Solicitor, where he is team leader of the enforcement and regulation team and national client manager for ACMA and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.

“I am delighted that Marcus Bezzi will be joining ACMA and I am sure he will make a significant contribution to the work of the agency as it grapples with the regulatory challenges being thrown up by the ever changing communications environment,” said Lyn Maddock, acting ACMA chair.
