HIGH SCHOOL students have been handed a new weapon to advance their legal studies.

The Victorian Law Reform Commission’s (VLRC) free Law Reform in Action booklet details the processes the Commission uses to consult with the community and implement changes in the law.

“An important aspect of being a citizen in a democracy is understanding and participating in the process of law reform and that’s what we’d like VCE students to learn about,” law reform commissioner Judith Pierce said.

“In Unit 3 legal studies students need to show they understand the processes a law reform body follows to change the law,” she said.
