A NEW link between a provider of online content for the legal profession and a provider of solutions for accounting, workflow automation and document production in areas of law will allow users of each to transfer information between the two.

Users of Locus emPower and Lawpoint can use the integrated link from Locus’ emPower Precendents into Lawpoint’s online search environment. Information captured with the Locus software can be transferred into the Lawpoint system, where users can obtain a range of property certificates and searches.

“This integrated service is a big time saver for firms who, up until now, had to re-key information into both systems,” said managing director of Lawpoint Mike Abel.

The new link is not the first partnership between the two companies, according to Locus managing director Mike Russell. “Firms using Locus accounting software and Lawpoint online searching options have… been able to access the benefits of integrated billing interfaces for years,” he said. “This extension of integration capability provides benefits to the users of the comprehensive Locus suite of management software,” Russell said.
