BIG FOUR accountancy firm Ernst and Young has bolstered its commitment to providing legal services in Europe with the recent hire of James Mandel, from multinational law firm Salans, as a partner at EY Law in Moscow.

Mandel is a corporate lawyer and was previously the managing partner of Lebeouf Lamb Greene & MacRae’s Moscow office.

EY Law, like the other Big Four accountancy firms’ legal arms, has not been immune to audit independence issues, which have restricted the provision of non-audit services to audit clients.
