Freehills helped clients raise more money than any other firm during the year, according to a 2003 initial public offerings (IPO) Survey.

Acting on seven major IPOs in that year worth more than $3.3 billion, Freehills also acted on four of the top 10 most valuable IPOs, including Promina, PERLS II Trust, Transurban XCARS and Repco Ltd.

Freehills senior equity capital markets partner Philippa Stone said the fact that the firm payed such a significant role in the key deals of 2003 reflected the “depth of talent in our corporate and M&A practice”.

“The Promina float has been a turning point for the IPO market and our involvement in it, and in the top hybrid deals for 2003,” Stone said. “[It] ensures that our ECM clients will continue to receive leading edge advice,” she said.

The survey was undertaken by Connect 4.
