After announcing three new partners in its Brisbane office, Hunt & Hunt has been praised as a firm which promotes from within, thus “gratifying” its existing employees.

Guy Hampson, Justine Woods and Rocco Russo have been appointed as partners in the Brisbane office, and all three were previously senior associates in the firm.

“It’s been really gratifying to see that the firm has clear career paths available to people within,” said Woods, who started off in the firm as a third-year lawyer.

“I’ve been with Hunt & Hunt for nearly seven years,” Woods said. “I’ve been able to grow in terms of being able to specialise in family law, which is what I wanted to do.”

Acknowledging that an emphasis on professional development had always been big at the firm, Woods said that “hard work is clearly rewarded ... and this has been motivating for me”.

Woods is an accredited family law specialist practising in all family matters including de facto relationships, divorce and separation, child residence and support and contact disputes.

Hampson has experience in public liability, compulsory third party and workers compensation.

Russo specialises in commercial dispute resolution, practising across industries that include property and leasing, building and construction, employment and business disputes.

Managing partner Peter Cooper said the firm was “very excited” about the new appointments as well as “the benefits they will bring to our clients and firm”.
