Abbott Touts new blood

Abbott Tout Solicitors has, for the first time in 100 years, made a managing partner appointment from outside its own ranks. New managing partner Peter Noble will head up the firm’s team of 30 partners and 109 lawyers in Sydney, Parramatta, Canberra and Brisbane.

Noble has experience in legal practice and has managed top law firms. A former partner and managing partner at Coudert Brothers’ Sydney office and managing partner at Baker & McKenzie’s Los Angeles office, Noble has taken up the new position following the retirement of Mark Harrowell.

More recently, Noble was executive director at Mike Walsh’s Hayden Enterprises. His role included a position as executive producer of the show Direct from Vegas — The Rat Pack.

Commenting on his new role at Abbott Tout, Noble said that “it’s an old firm with a proud history of providing quality legal service in a friendly atmosphere.

“I plan to keep those traditions while growing the firm and continuing the program of cultural change,” he said.
