Copyright review goes public

After examining ownership of copyright in a private context for several references, a specially convened Federal Government committee has been asked to look at public use of intellectual property.

Attorney-General Philip Ruddock and immediate predecessor Daryl Williams, now Minister for Communications, announced the Copyright Law Review Committee’s new reference at a high profile IP symposium in Sydney last week.

The Committee’s report is due in 12 months.
