A RECORD 40 per cent of law graduates at a top Indian law school have been snapped up by international law firms.

As reported in The Lawyer, 32 out of 80 of this year’s graduates from the National Law School of India University have taken up training contracts with international law firms, compared with just 20 last year.

The head of Clifford Chance’s India practice, Chris Wyman, said that previously it was only the larger firms which recruited from India, but that this high percentage reflected the fact that there are now a number of smaller firms getting in on the act.
