BLAKE DAWSON will be soon be opening its sixth Australian office in Adelaide.

The new office, which is to officially open its doors on 1 December, will initially have two partners, Simon Fraser and Darren Grondal, as well as a number of other lawyers.

The firm’s decision to move into South Australia was spurred by strong demand, particularly from growth in the energy and mining sectors, and expected flow-on to other associated industries.

The firm’s new managing partner, John Carrington, said that the firm has already been working in South Australia for some time with a number of clients.

“Our decision to open in Adelaide is based on our confidence in the future of the South Australian economy. It’s an exciting time in the state’s development,” he said.
