I graduated from QUT in Brisbane with law and journalism degrees in 2006 and first met the Hopgood Ganim team by completing a summer clerkship. The people attracted me to HG. I've completed two rotations and I will now stay in the corporate advisory team, which was my final rotation. The work I'm doing involves some very significant IPOs, private equity and M&A work within an environment where everybody knows one another well. I chose Hopgood Ganim over some of the larger players not only because of the culture but also because of the quality of work that was on offer. I was working on my own files from the beginning and although I was supervised by partners and senior associates, I was encouraged to really take charge of my own work. This helped develop not only my skills but also my confidence.
