Blake Dawson has snapped up former Slaughter & May senior associate Carl Della Bosca. He has joined the firm as a partner.

An M&A specialist, Della Bosca has joined the firm's Sydney office after moving back to Australia from London. His key areas of expertise are advising on international and domestic corporate finance and M&A transactions including public takeovers, private acquisitions and disposals, capital raising and joint ventures. He has advised corporate, private equity and investment firm clients.

His experience includes advising on BHP Billiton's takeover offer for Rio Tinto. While in London he completed a six-month secondment at NM Rothschild & Sons Limited in their M&A technical team.
