LINKLATERS ASIA managing partner Giles White is leaving the firm after 21 years to make the move to in-house.

White, who spent 18 of those 21 years at Linklaters as a partner, is moving to infrastructure conglomerate Jardine Matheson to take up the role of general counsel, The Lawyer has reported. He replaces Jonathon Gould who held the position since 2004.

White has been Linklater's Asia managing partner for two years and a spokesperson from the firm said that a consultation process is currently under way to appoint a replacement.
