Sparke Helmore has snapped up experienced in-house lawyer Michael Najem for its Sydney environment and planning team.

 
 

Najem makes the move into private practice from the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority where he held the role of deputy general counsel. He has also previously held senior management roles at Olympic Roads and Transport Authority.

Najem brings to Sparkes far-reaching civil litigation experience, including in the areas of environmental planning and assessment, heritage and local government, property, equity, administrative law, common law, contract law, commercial law and trade practices.
