International firm Holman Fenwick Willan has launched a Sydney office and has recruited former Blake Dawson partner Alex Baykitch to head up the new venture.

Baykitch specialises in international commercial arbitration and litigation, with a particular focus on cross-border disputes involving the maritime, aviation, mining and energy and the insurance and reinsurance sectors.

His clients include ship owners and operators and their P&I clubs, hull and machinery underwriters, airlines and their insurers, mining and energy companies, commodities traders, general insurers and banks.

He will soon be joined by three senior lawyers in the new office who have extensive litigation experience spanning Australia, London and Hong Kong.

Holman Fenwick Willian specialises in international commerce, and also has offices in London, Paris, Rouen, Brussels, Piraeus, Dubai, Shanghai, Singapore and Melbourne.
