Seniors are about to see cheaper legal services, following the formation of a partnership between Slater & Gordon and National Seniors Australia (NSA).
The firm's managing director, Andrew Grech, said Slaters had introduced a dedicated 1800 number for the new service and appointed a staff member in each state to oversee the quality of services provided to NSA members.
"Slater & Gordon will be able to assist NSA members with a range of matters, from conveyancing to wealth protection, retirement income issues, to the drafting of a will and advice on more complex matters such as compensation claims or estate litigation. We can also assist with business transaction needs, particularly members who are business owners or operators."
NSA's chief executive, Michael O'Neill, said that legal services were often perceived as being out of the financial reach of seniors. "So we are pleased to be able to offer our members an affordable yet specialised service," he said.
NSA is a not-for profit organisation that represents people over 50 years of age. It currently has a membership of more than 295,000.
