Christmas just got a little better for Mallesons staff this week, with the firm confirming with Lawyers Weekly today that all staff have received a bonus for their contributions throughout the year.

As with Allens and Freehills, Mallesons has previously confirmed a firm-wide salary freeze on staff in 2009, but Mallesons appears to have been the first of the top-tier to consequently offer a bonus.

A Mallesons spokesperson confirmed with Lawyers Weekly today that staff each received a percentage of their annual salary in recognition of their contribution over the last six months during a "challenging market environment".
