Holding Redlich solicitor Steve McAuley has announced he has left the firm to start his own firm, McAuley Lawyers, in Sydney's West.

The Parramatta-based firm will specialise in a wide range of legal work including commercial law and litigation, construction, insolvency and traffic law - in a bid to meet the expanding construction and business-related advice needs of the area.

McAuley admits that he is starting the firm "from scratch" but that he hopes his depth of expertise will be the right mix to service the growing suburban area.

"I'm looking to provide quality legal services at a more affordable rate for clients in the West of Sydney," McAuley told Lawyers Weekly.
