Michael Kirby will launch a journal that aims to redress social exclusion.

The former High Court Justice will launch the Journal of Social Inclusion at Griffith University's Logan campus today (28 Jume). The Journal is a peer reviewed academic publication that seeks an understanding of the social pressures that marginalise individuals, families, groups and communities.

"The question before us is whether the better side of the Australian character will win out over the narrow side of fear and exclusion," Kirby said. "This is the question that this new journal will record and hopefully influence."
