Middletons are sponsoring a major awards ceremony that recognises people who are trying to turn their lives around.

The Mission Australia Celebrate awards will honour nearly 100 Victorians that have taken steps to live more independently.

"Mission Australia is proud to run successful programs which are transforming so many lives by inspiring self-confidence and hope," said Mission Australia CEO Toby Hall. "It's great to be able to recognise these programs' participants because they have worked so hard to overcome severe barriers to mainstream employment."

Middletons has assisted Mission Australia in Melbourne for many years, with staff acting as volunteers to assist the organisation with its adult tertiary education programs. The firm also assists Mission Australia with fundraising activities throughout Australia.

Middletons managing partner Nick Nichola said that the firm was happy to be sponsoring an awards ceremony that inspires "self-confidence and hope".

The awards will be held at Melbourne Aquarium on 3 October.
