Corrs Chambers Westgarth has announced a new 18 month graduate development program called Launch.

Corrs partner Robert Regan, who led the Launch project, said it offers graduate lawyers the chance to chance to work closely with senior members of the firm.

“Graduates will learn in the classroom and on the job. They will be mentored by senior lawyers and exposed to clients and client-work, and throughout the program they will receive on-going coaching and regular feedback,” he said.

In order to achieve better outcomes for graduate development, the firm has extended its graduate program to 18 months, and now requires participants to rotate through divisions rather than practice groups where they can gain greater exposure to partners and senior lawyers.

A dedicated Graduate Development Manager focused solely on supporting graduates in their learning, mentoring and practical work experiences is another key feature of the project.

Corrs CEO John Denton said the firm was “resolute” in its ambition to offer “the best career paths, rewards, and recognition in the legal market”.
