Police and federal agents descended on the Houston clinic of Michael Jackson's clinic on Wednesday in what the king of pop's attorney says was a search for manslaughter evidence.

POLICE and federal agents descended on the Houston clinic of Michael Jackson's clinic on Wednesday in what the king of pop's attorney says was a search for manslaughter evidence.

Dr Conrad Murray, who was with Jackson in his final moments, has reportedly cooperated with investigators. But the search remains the clearest indicator that authorities are looking for possible wrongdoing.

Police neither condemn nor deny the possibility of criminal charges.

It remains unclear how Jackson died, but the pop star went into cardiac arrest in his bedroom in a rented mansion in Los Angeles. Murray performed CPR while an ambulance was called, according to the doctor's lawyers.
