The Milan office of Ashurst has hired two new heads to fill a gap left by the departure of four other partners.

THE Milan office of Ashurst has hired two new heads to fill a gap left by the departure of four other partners.

Partners Franco Vigliano and Mark Sperotto have been appointed Milan office head and Milan managing partner.

The move follows Ashurst's Milan head and corporate partner Daniele Raynaud's departure, alongside corporate partner Stefano Roncoroni.

The two left the door swinging for for more, including Milan managing partner Riccardo Agnostinelli and finance partner Lorenzo Vernetti.

A statement issued by the firm said: “We’re very grateful to both for the work they’ve done in establishing the Milan office and we wish them every success in the future.

“Milan is an important part of the firm to which we’re fully committed. Riccardo and Daniele’s departure is amicable, and these changes create good opportunities to grow our finance and corporate business in Italy.”

Ashurst’s Milan practice has seen a number of departures in recent months. Banking partner Maura Magiconcalda left with a team of four associates to launch a banking practice at local firm Perdosoli earlier this year.
