The Attorneys identified the multi-faceted challenges common between them, including that organized crime, cyber crime and terrorism are transnational issues requiring a coordinated international response.

The group of five also recognized the common use of the internet for criminal purposes, including for terrorism, as well as the exposure of children to violence.

The Attorneys now plan to work together to promote cooperation on legal frameworks at the international level, and to coordinate action across relevant agencies against organized crime, cybercrime, terrorism and perpetrators of genocide.

As part of the meeting, the Attorneys noted it was important to promote and support pro bono legal activity domestically and internationally, including capacity building, as well as the scope for joint planning.
