I completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology at Macquarie Uni, then a Bachelor of Laws at UTS. But before graduating, I did a summer clerkship with PwC Legal, which is a good way to get to know what it’s like to work in a commercial firm. During that program, I met a lot of people, and spoke to senior staff and those who’d also just started, so it gave me a realistic perspective. The reason I chose PwC rather than a law firm is because it’s the largest commercial services firm in the world, and I wanted to have the exposure to both the accounting and legal side of things. The training and secondment opportunities are great here, which is maybe not the case in other places. On an average day I attend client meetings, draft contracts and letters of advice, and review documents for clients.
