The awards, which are run by the Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales, celebrate the success and achievement of women in law in five categories:
* Woman Lawyer of the Year in Private Practice;
* In-house Woman Lawyer of the Year;
* Woman Lawyer of the Year in a Community Organisation;
* Woman Lawyer Advocate of the Year;
*Upcoming Woman Lawyer of the Year.
The awards are supported by the Attorney-General's Department of NSW, the NSW Bar Association, and Law Society of NSW, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency.
