Lawyers have raised support for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) via the 2009 MS Sydney to Gong Bike Ride, with a number of law firms proudly sporting their best lycra to make the 90 kilometre trip.

From Mallesons Stephen Jaques, partners John Sullivan, Mark McFarlance and Dominic Bortoluzzi completed the ride - having committed to the event a year ago, when they started cycling to work as training. The three raised more than $8000 for the event.

Meanwhile, a team of lawyers from Swaab Attorneys also made the trip down south, raising a total of $5879.

MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than 18,000 Australians. The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years and it affects three times as many women as men. More than 10,000 people took part in the ride, raising more than $2,659,000.
