Australian Business Lawyers (ABL) has been acquired by a wholly owned subsidiary of the NSW Business Chamber (NSWBC) - Australian Business Lawyers and Consultants Pty Ltd.

It is hoped the acquisition, to be completed by 31 October 2010, will provide further growth for the firm, as it will have the financial backing and additional resources of the NSW Business Chamber and the ability to directly assist the NSW Business Chamber to fulfil its charter and expand its direct provision of HR related products and services.

"The acquisition brings many advantages, such as the ability to coordinate the delivery of related services provided by both organisations," said Tim Capelin, managing partner of Australian Business Lawyers.

"For example, training offered by ABL and NSWBC in OH&S will be streamlined and offered as a total package."

The practice will continue to trade as Australian Business Lawyers, with Tim Capelin and John Stanton continuing as senior practitioners and managers of the practice during the transition.
