In April 2017, 15-year-old Brayden Dillon was found in bed with a gunshot wound to his head by police, who had been called to a home in Glenfield.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition, where he later died.

An investigation was launched by detectives from the New South Wales State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, who were assisted by the NSW Crime Commission and South West Metropolitan Region, under the name Strike Force Wongala.
