Victoria’s CLCs to receive further $1.8m
The Victorian government has rolled out a second round of rounding worth $1.8 million in an attempt to bolster the work being completed by the state’s community legal centres.
In an announcement to the public, Attorney-General Jill Hennessy confirmed the Andrews Labor government is set to roll out the second round of Integrated Services Fund grants, totalling $1.8 million, with hopes to support “the extension of partnerships between community legal centres and other service providers like health services, and consumer groups”.

Integrated services, Ms Hennessy said, provide members of the community with increased access to legal and social services, ensuring they have their voices heard and their rights protected.
“Every Victorian should be able to access the legal services they need, when they need, and our community legal centres make sure that happens,” she said.
“We’re making sure our community legal centres are able to reach people who may fall through the cracks – and by backing them to work with other services, we’re making sure all Victorians get the support they need.”
The A-G urged CLCs to take advantage of the second round of grants by submitting an application online to the Federation of Community Legal Centres by 5 August 2019.
The application should outline the skills and resources the CLC has to implement the service, as well as evidence to show the demand for the service is currently unmet, she noted.
