FOR THE fourth consecutive year, and the fifth time in six years, Bell Gully has been named the top New Zealand law firm by global publication International Financial Law Review (IFLR).

The IFLR awards claim to recognise legal leaders in the international corporate and financial transaction sectors. It evaluates the best firms in the Asia-Pacific region based on many factors including peer and client recommendations.

Bell Gully’s chief executive, Stephen Macliver, said there are many reasons the firm continues to win accolades.

“Genuinely we work very hard for our clients to extract the best possible outcomes for them. We are consistently the go-to firm for the largest disputes and transactions in NZ due to the quality and commitment of our partner-led talent base. And we enjoy the respect and support of our colleagues in the profession and we have the respect of our colleagues in Australia where we generate a significant amount of our work,” Macliver said.
