ALRC to review Royal Commissions’ power

The attorney-general of Australia, the Hon Robert McClelland, MP, has asked the Australian Law Reform Commission to review the operation of the Royal Commissions Act 1902 and determine whether alternative forms of Commonwealth executive inquiry should be established by statute.
