SOME of the country's finest corporate lawyers will be having their tarot cards read, will be handing over their palms for life predictions and will turn to psychics as they come together for end of year drinks this month.

The Australian Corporate Lawyers Association's NSW Christmas party will feature "the amazing Argyle Oracle", who will attend the get together as the night's entertainment.

The event, to be held at The Loft in Sydney's King Street Wharf, is sponsored by legal recruiter Mahlab and is free of charge and exclusive to ACLA members.

Corporate counsels' South Australian peers, meanwhile, will be attending Christmas drinks held at the Adelaide Casino.

The drinks are a chance for the profession to socialised with their local committee members and network with fellow members, ACLA said. The SA division of ACLA is sponsored by law firm Kelly & Co lawyers.
